(12/22/08) Winter arrives at RMC




Winter arrives at RMC with a vengence! Dana clears off the gas dock of some
of the 18 or so inches of snow that fell Sunday.


(12/11/08) Man at Work


With ten boats in the shop being worked on simultaneously, we needed to press Andy into service to do some fine detail work on Chickadee’s cap rail joints. Time had caused failed glue lines, allowing these scarfs to move and let water into the mahogany end grain staining it and lifting the varnish. We are re-gluing and refilling these and then will stain and re-varnish.

(11/21/08) Where Did Everbody Go?






Wow! Where did everybody go?! With thanksgiving just 6 days away, all but a couple of the boats are put away, while 10 others await their winter projects in our cozy heated workshops. Are you on the schedule yet?



(10/23/08) Ocean Planet Departs Robinhood




























Framed by our beautiful fall colors, "Ocean Planet" heads for Newport, RI, as the morning temperature drops to 27 degrees and the North wind blows at a chilly 15 knots plus.



(10/15/08) Almost Ready Now















Ocean Planet sits high in the slings as her keel is lowered into place, then, after splashing, her mast is stepped.
